Here we detail some of our past multi-format events, along with the types of evaluation undertaken..

Telepathy: Fact or fiction?

03/07/03 - Tabernacle Gallery, North Kensington

This event used a cocktail party format. Invited experts mingled with the audience in an unstructured environment. The event was introduced by the facilitator and an ice breaker game was used to initiate discussion.

During the event, psychology experiments using flash cards wereavailable for audience to try out. In addition, a short film clip provided extra information on Telepathy.

Audience and speakers sat at cafe style tables in groups of about 6 people.

Types of evaluation use: in depth observation, audience profile, speaker questionnaire.

The science of beauty

26/10/02 - Mind your Head exhibition, Science Museum

This fluid event structure presented a total of 4 different formats over the course of 1 afternoon. These included an artists tour, object handling session, holistic therapists demonstration, and a poetry reading.

Types of evaluation used: in depth observation, speaker interviews.

Stressed out!

01/03/03 - Who am I? gallery, Science Museum

This was a joint event with Samaritans who launched an online gallery of young artists work. The work was produced in response to a Samaritans competition about Stress and results were announced by June Sarpong (Channel 4 presenter)

The Science Museum ran an object handling session, an object trail and a feedback wall after the competition results were announced.

Types of evaluation used: in depth observation, in depth interviews with the audience.
