Here we detail some of our past 'talk show' format events, along with the types of evaluation undertaken..
08/02/03 - Lecture Theatre, Science Museum
This event experimented with the TV talk show ('Kilroy') style to facilitate dialogue, and with the use of film as a stimulus for dialogue. After viewing a film clip the event's facilitator initiated discussion with the audience. Roving microphones were then used to pick up the audience's comments.
Types of evaluation used: in depth observation, focus group.
Darwin Centre, Natural History Museum
This was the second time we had used the talk show format. However, on this occasion the event was also webcast live from the Darwin Centre, Natural History Museum. Invited experts sat within the audience. Discussion was initiated by the event's facilitator and points were then raised by the audience and web audience.
Types of evaluation used: in depth observation
