I have been reading the section of the Guardian Bad Science for some months and I'm starting to wonder if there should not be some control about research news.

Would it be possible to make newspapers, and research organisations that distribute their press releases to journalists, responsible for no sense and misleading information?

it would be possible but where do you draw the line? creationists would protest the news speaking on evolution and possibly vice versa. but how do you get honesty from a system thats main goal is money and not knowlede. (not a communist.....dont know what i am)
