As we launch more missions into space, is it part of our human destiny to colonise other worlds? Before we step onto other planets, should we not consider the health of our own? Discuss your views with experts from all sides.
The cost of exploring the solar system is huge - recent multimillion-pound projects have included the Cassini-Huygens mission to Saturn and the Beagle 2 mission to Mars. Do you think this is money well spent? Would you rather the money was spent exploring and understanding Earth? Can you place a value on scientific research like this?
Should we consider setting up home on other planets when there are many problems on this planet still without solutions? Or perhaps living on other planets will become essential if the population continues to expand. Join a panel of speakers involved in this area to address these issues and more.
