Join us for an evening of drama and discussion. Imagine what it would be like not to be able to remember your life, your past. But perhaps some experiences were so painful that you would do anything to forget them. Wouldn't it be great if there were pills to help you remember or to help you to forget? Well maybe, but think of the consequences. In a remarkable new play, set in an underground station, Mind the Gap by Y Touring Theatre Company, actors show us the tragedy and confusion of people struggling with their memories.
VIJAY - who saw his girlfriend murdered is still re-living the nightmare
DINO - with a history of substance abuse, pushed the girl under the train
MAYA - disoriented with Alzheimer's disease tries to piece together her life
SILAS - the great listener and counselor for them all
After the play, take part in a discussion with brain researchers about how we remember, how we forget and whether it is right to try and manipulate our memories.
Event organised by:
The European Dana Alliance for the Brain and the British Neuroscience Association
