Alien Contact

Is there intelligent alien life somewhere out there or are we all alone in the universe? Will we ever make contact with such life? If it exists, why have we not been contacted already? What would happen if we did make contact?

Humankind has long believed and hoped that intelligent extraterrestrial life exists. Weve been searching for evidence of its existence quite some time. SETI (the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) was set-up in 1984 to look for signals from advanced technological civilisations in our galaxy.

Despite its best efforts, SETI has so far failed to find any evidence of alien communications. Is this because there arent any intelligent extraterrestrial civilisations out there? Is it because they exist, but dont want to make contact with us? Is it because aliens communicate with technologies so vastly from our own that we cant recognise them? Or is it because we just havent been looking in the right place?
