Contrary to popular belief, dinosaurs almost certainly did not become extinct 65 million years ago at least not quite. There is now overwhelming evidence that one group, including such dinosaur superstars as tyrannosaurus and velociraptor, developed feathers and eventually gave rise to modern birds.
