Get to grips with all things ‘smart’ before having your say in the development of future products aimed at you.
How could smart materials rock your world? Come and hear thoughts from forecasters of the future on the potential of smart materials and find out where you fit into the big design plan.
Wander around and interact with the smart-material products on display. MP3 control panels embedded in sportswear fabric, clothes that emit light or heat and products coated in nano-particles form part of an exciting showcase of gadgets and prototypes. Exhibitors will be on hand as you talk and play.
Health, personal security and entertainment are all areas where smart materials could have their biggest impact. But what are the wider implications of technophile lifestyles and intelligent beer mats?
Watch your ideas appear on screen as illustrators visualise your discussion and tell designers what you need as a consumer.
