Can sound kill?
Come and find out in Senster, part lecture, part concert and part performance art. Experience the spooky and surreal worlds of sound Senster presents as artificial life takes to the stage, together with acoustic oddities and cutting-edge digital arts.
In a dark story drawn from Europe's folk tradition and the Cold War, follow the tendril on an amazing journey through 2D and 3D space and listen to the eclectic mix of music performed for your delight.
The evening climaxes with a blast of infrasound - a deep bass note that some scientists claim has deadly powers. The infrasound emanates from a giant pipe that that spans the room.
Stimulate your senses in this eccentric world by trying your own hand at the instruments in use, including a musical saw and a theremin, before meeting the tendril yourself.
Witness it if you dare. Spine-tingling fun guaranteed.
Based on original research by Sarah Angliss. Plot based on a storyline by scriptwriter and theatre director Linda Cotterill
