Everything you wanted to know about food but were too afraid to ask!

Do you have a question for Dinner@Dana food chemist David Loong? No matter how obscure or silly your food questions are, e-mail them to talk@danacentre.org.uk or post them to our Gastro-science extra! discussion board, and David will research the answers to the ones that tickle his taste buds. Come along to the event and listen to the answers while you dive into a delicious meal.

Why are chicken-flavoured crisps suitable for vegetarians? How do you get children to eat broccoli? Could we use Pavlov’s famous dog experiment to train ourselves to eat food we don’t like? How much processing goes into a sausage roll? David will take on any question you can think of!

If you can't make it to this Dinner@Dana check out our other upcoming Dinner@Dana events on 8 November and 15 December.

Dinner@Dana is part of the Café Scientifique network. Meetings aim to stay outside of the traditional academic context by creating a relaxed and informal atmosphere in which to discuss scientific issues. These Cafés provide a place for everyone to explore the latest ideas in science, technology and medicine.
