Natural disasters, extreme weather, the end of civilisation as we know it... Climate change is a very serious subject and quite rightly should be causing brown pants all round. Can Punk Science save us? Of course they can’t, they’re idiots. But can they help us understand a bit more about climate change, without it getting too dull and preachy?

This is the only show about climate change that is guaranteed intelligence-neutral: the Punk Science team – who fuse Edinburgh-style stand-up with serious science lecture – will power through 60 minutes of laughs, demonstrations and audience participation on the where, what and how our climate is changing. The Punks look at what exactly climate change is, with an enormous live demo of the greenhouse effect, and cover a range of topics from poo power to wind farms, hydrogen cars to nuclear energy.

Also, is the fear of getting saddle sore the only thing that stops us from cycling more? Find out whether giant mirrors or dumping iron in the sea can possibly save us. And we look at how extreme weather really affects us, as Punk Scientist Brad tells his hilarious true-life story of losing his home in a hurricane. But most shockingly of all: discover how in true British fashion global warming will actually make us colder and wetter.

Find out about all of this and more as Punk Science grapple with climate change: no extra intelligence will be caused as a result of watching the show.

The Punk Scientists

Jon Milton – A wonderful young man who's written and performed on everything from Radio 1 to BBC7, Scien-Trific on Discovery Kids and even the mighty Richard and Judy.

Bradford Gross – To make, take a pinch of Dean Martin, a pint of Iron Maiden, a quart of yogurt and a slice of apple pie. Blend on HIGH for 40 minutes. Add gin, ice and garnish. Serve open, like a head wound.

Dan Hope – Dan is a newcomer to Punk Science; he feels vulnerable and overexposed, like a reader's wife. Like love, he is a many-splendoured thing. Watch and learn (you scum).
