Always seeking out the sunnier side of the street? Do you feel happier when the clouds roll back? Why does the sun seem to have such an impact on our behaviour?
Join us as we try to understand the science behind our sun-seeking ways. Quiz experts and have your say in group discussions.
Chat with Robert Mighall, author of Sunshine: One Man’s Search for Happiness. Why is the sun so important to the UK? Robert will be exploring the historical and cultural influences that drive our love for the sun.
Quiz Lance Workman, a psychologist who has researched how the weather affects our behaviour. Do we all suffer the effects of seasonal affective disorder?
Rob Lucas will be discussing how the sun triggers physiological responses in our bodies. How do we respond to the sun and how does this affect our behaviour?
