Compose by listening, perform by pushing… Anyone can make music using computer software. Take part in this hands-on workshop to generate music collectively.

Andy Pierson and Tim Anderson introduce you to ground-breaking software specifically designed to be accessible to sighted and visually impaired individuals. As a group you’ll take on the challenge of creating your own film score, which will be performed at our evening event.

Jackie Clifton will also demonstrate how mainstream music software has been adapted for visually impaired composers. How might this be embedded into the music industry more widely? Investigate the challenges that visually impaired people face in creating music using software, and how new solutions can be engineered to enhance our creativity.

This event is supported by the Royal Academy of Engineering
