One week after the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) goes live, we will be joining experimental physicist Brian Cox and theoretical physicist Ben Allanach to find out what one of the world’s largest and most expensive experiments is hoping to achieve.

Scientists hope it will shed light on some of our universe’s biggest mysteries, such as whether there’s a Higgs boson, and what the unknown 95% of our universe is made of.

Quiz experts and get behind the scenes as we talk live to James Gillies in the LHC control room, via a video linkup.
