Bacteria are associated with hospitals, infections and scientists in lab coats. Art forms such as painting, photography and music are associated with beauty, aesthetics and creative minds. So what do you get when you mix them together?

The Science Museum’s Dana Centre presents a ground-breaking showcase of bacterial art. Get your photo taken in Anne Brodie and Simon Park’s bioluminescent photo booth. Join Anna Dumitriu to find out how you can create auras or knitwork using microorganisms. And draw your own perfect microbe in Lizzie Burns’s workshop. Be dazzled by Milton Mermikides’ audiovisual installation based on the bacterial genome, and by Heather Barnett’s footprints.
