Why not start the New Year by asking yourself an important question? Do you eat food?
If the answer is yes, then check out the new Punk Science show about the science of food: growing it, preparing it, eating it and most importantly playing with it. If you answered no, then you really should try some food, as eating can be quite rewarding.
The Punk Science team will be experimenting with taste to explore the roles smell, sight and psychology play on our likes and dislikes. Find out whether diets and detoxes actually work, find out why we are fat and take part in the obesity simulator.
Added to that we’ll be eating bugs, discovering whether you can drink your own urine, questioning why your poo stinks and sharing the top ten causes of vomiting.
We’ll also be playing with our food. Reliving some classic kitchen science experiments, we’ll see whether you can turn custard into a lethal weapon and make ice cream from liquid nitrogen. We’ll also be performing the first ever duel with Diet Coke and Mentos mints.
All that, plus the usual music, audience participation and general silliness.
