How do recent discoveries and innovations in biology touch our lives? We invite you to the private view of NOBELini: Blind Data, an exhibition that celebrates and communicates science to everyone. Let us know what you think of our colourful, playful and thought-provoking installations.

Feel Out Loud!

A live webcam captures your moods continuously from your facial expressions, projecting their graphical interpretation onto plasma screens and prompting you to become aware of, and play with, your emotions.

The Good, the Bad and the Negative

In this exploration of laboratory disasters a maze table invites you to seek out hidden successes in apparent cul-de-sacs, while ‘living’ textile experiments get you to question the nature of success and failure.

ALBERT in NeuroPlastic Land

Combing imagination with reality, the work invites you to play a postmodern version of an ancient game made with environmentally responsive textiles.

‘Blind Data’ is the result of a scheme called NOBELini (www.fabricsoflife.co.uk) pairing scientists with designers, funded by the MRC Clinical Sciences Centre (www.csc.mrc.ac.uk).
